The league announced that the Eagles will host the Cowboys on Sunday with a chance to clinch the NFC East. With Dallas eliminated from the playoffs, the game has been moved to a 1:00 p.m. date.

With two teams in the NFC North (Vikings and Lions) sporting a 12-3 record and the Packers sporting a 10-4 record entering Monday night, the NFL opted for a high-profile divisional race against one of the league’s biggest rivals.

The Eagles (12-3) will try to win the season series with the Cowboys (7-8) for the first time since 2011 and clinch the division title. The Cowboys are out of playoff contention but want to play spoilsport. Dallas has won four of its last five games and knocked the Buccaneers out of first place in the NFC South.

Cooper Rush will start at quarterback for the Cowboys. He has a career record of 9-2 as a starter in the NFL against teams other than the Eagles, but is 0-2 against Philadelphia.
