TL;DR

  • Fitbit app users report that on several pages the interface is cut off at the top of the screen.
  • The issue is believed to have started after Android 15 was introduced.
  • The problem doesn’t seem to only affect Pixel devices.

Google officially launched Android 15 in mid-October. The new version of the operating system brought a wealth of features to Android devices, but it also seems that it may have had a negative impact on the Fitbit app and users are still waiting for a solution.

In the Fitbit community forum, many users report that they are having an issue with the app. The issue in question causes the top part of the screen to be cut off, making it impossible to read or access certain interface elements. For example, some users report that they cannot add custom food entries to the nutrition database or navigate to the previous week in the graph.

It appears that the flood of reports began around November 7th. Since that date, the post has received 274 replies and over 13,000 views. Although most of the answers come from people with Pixel phones, the problem doesn’t appear to be limited to Google’s handsets. A user with a Xiaomi 14 says they are also experiencing the problem.

A Fitbit moderator has spoken out and confirmed that the team is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. The moderator’s final comment was posted last Monday and said the team was still “investigating this and working on a resolution.”

It seems that many people are still waiting for a solution at this point. I tried to open the app on my Pixel 6 Pro and noticed that the top of the food page was cut off. However, I didn’t find the problem anywhere else in the app.

We have reached out to Google for comment on the situation. This article will be updated when we hear back from the company. Thanks for the tip, Robbie.
