It’s been a really nice run in ice hockey lately. When it comes to sports betting, I tend to be a little crazy – there are tracks that go well, others that go badly, others that are just in the middle – but it’s always the same philosophy. We always want to extend the successful streak, slow down the bad ones, and when I’m in the middle of it, I try to get out of the crisis as quickly as possible. If I lose, you can at least make me fade away. If I win, you can follow me. But if I go 1:1, it’s hard for you to know what to bet on. For now, I know I’ll be fine in this game between the Stars and the Golden Knights.

The Dallas Stars currently boast a 16-9-0 record, but that’s a difficult point for them since they’re just 6-7-0 on the road to start the season. Dallas is currently in third place in the Central Division, six points behind the Wild and Jets. In their last five games, the Stars have won three of them, but only one of those wins came on the road. In addition, they only scored two goals in three of these games, so the offense is currently not playing at its optimal level. Overall, Dallas put the puck in the net 3.32 times per game and allowed 2.56 goals per game. They do this with almost three more shots per game than their opponents. It is currently assumed that Jake Oettinger will be between the pipes this evening. Oettinger had a great season with a record of 13-5-0, allowing just 2.42 goals against per game and a save percentage of .912. This season he allowed two or fewer goals per game in 11 of his 18 games. He has allowed four or more goals in three games and has allowed four goals in the remaining three games.

The Golden Knights already gave us money this week when they defeated Edmonton 1-0. They are now 17-7-3 this season and 10-3-0 on home ice. I don’t think this is the ideal spot for them tonight as they were playing their third game in four nights and had to travel during that time. This usually affects basketball games more, but hockey players also get tired. The Golden Knights score about 3.5 goals per game and allow 2.9, but their shots for and against them are much closer as their opponents typically only get about one fewer shots per game than Vegas. The two teams have not played each other this season, so this could be a good chance for two talented teams to compete against each other. I expect Aiden Hill to be in net tonight. Hill was in net for Edmonton’s shutout and should be fresh for this game. He has an 11-4-2 record this year with a goals-against average of 2.67 and a save percentage of .900.

When you have two great goalkeepers in net, you don’t expect many goals. With Oettinger and Hill in the game, it will be difficult for any team to score against them. I don’t have a good feeling about who will win this game. I like when the Stars win because I think they played really well, but I like Vegas because they play really well at home. I think the right play is to take the under in the game. 6.5 goals isn’t asking much for the two offenses, but the defense should have an advantage with both goalies protecting the net. Support the bottom.
