STARTS JANUARY 13TH. Tonight the entire Board of Trustees of the Wellness Campus in Indianola, the former YMCA, resigned. The facility has been owned by the city since last year. IN A LETTER SIGNED BY ALL SEVEN MEMBERS SENT TO THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE MAYOR, THEY STATED THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ADEQUATE SUPPORT, GUIDANCE OR COOPERATION FROM THE CITY TO CONTINUE. THEY SAY THEY WERE TAKEN FROM THE CITY’S MOST IMPORTANT DECISIONS REGARDING THE INDIANOLA WELLNESS CAMPUS. In a statement sent to KCCI, the city thanked members for their service. The entire board of trustees of the Indianola Wellness Campus, the former YMCA, has resigned. The Indianola Wellness Campus has been owned by the city since last year. A letter to the city council and mayor signed by all seven members said they had not received sufficient support, guidance or cooperation from the city to proceed. They say they were left out of key city decisions regarding the facility. In a statement to KCCI, the city thanked members for their efforts. The Indianola Wellness Campus has been owned by the city since last year.
