Puget Sound Energy's outage map for Saturday, Dec. 14, showed several areas in Kitsap County were outages due to an early morning storm.

An estimated 25,000 homes in the Puget Sound area, most of them in Kitsap County, lost power Saturday morning after a windy storm with gusts exceeding 45 mph arrived in the region.

Puget Sound Energy reported outages early Saturday in Kington and Poulsbo in North Kitsap, a large portion of the Brownsville-Illahee area near East Bremerton, through the Burley-Olalla area in South Kitsap and a significant portion of Bainbridge Island.

The largest outages reported included more than 1,500 customers on Bainbridge, including near the Winslow business district, about 2,000 customers in Port Orchard and more than 1,200 in Olalla, according to PSE.
