The lawsuit accuses Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000

NEW YORK – Influential rapper Jay-Z is accused of sexual assault. A new civil lawsuit alleges he and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs raped a 13-year-old girl at a post-awards event in 2000.

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of “Jane Doe,” states that Combs and Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) “drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl at an afterparty following the 2000 Video Music Awards Another celebrity stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns attacking the minor. Buzbee responded on social media, saying Carter had attempted to “bully and harass me and this plaintiff.”

“Mr. Carter has previously denied being the one who sued me and my company,” Buzbee writes. “He filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym. What he failed to mention in his most recent statement is that my firm told his attorney sent a warning letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never asked for a cent from him. Instead, she was just looking for a confidential mediation.

“Since I sent the letter on their behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has also attempted to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His behavior had the opposite effect. She is encouraged. I am very proud of her determination. Regarding the allegations in the filed lawsuit, we will let the lawsuit speak for itself and present the facts in court and not in the media.”

NBC News reports that the lawsuit was originally filed against Combs in October, but was refiled to include Carter. CNN reports that Jay-Z is the first celebrity to be accused of sexual assault in connection with Combs. combs.
