The Miami Dolphins waived three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham on Friday. On Saturday, the NFL team added a wide receiver to its active roster – former Park Crossing High School standout Grant DuBose.

The Dolphins signed Beckham as a free agent in May, but he caught just nine passes for 55 yards in nine games with Miami. This increased his career total to 575 receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns.

After spending last season on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad, DuBose made his NFL regular-season debut on September 8 in the Dolphins’ season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars and made his first NFL reception on September 12 against the Buffalo Bills.

DuBose has been on injured reserve in Miami’s last 11 games due to a shoulder injury, but he will be eligible to play when the Dolphins face the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sunday at noon CST.

DuBose began his college career at Miles before transferring to Charlotte. He entered the NFL as the Packers’ seventh-round pick in the 2023 draft. When Green Bay waived DuBose during its roster cut between the preseason and regular season this season, Miami claimed the wide receiver for its roster.
