The NFL fined the Jaguars’ Josh Hines-Allen for illegal play against the Titans

Jaguars defensive end Josh Hines-Allen was fined $16,883 by the NFL on Saturday for body-throwing the passer in Jacksonville’s 10-6 victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 14 said NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Hines-Allen was not penalized for the play during the game, but did get a 12-yard strip sack against Levis on the final snap of the second quarter. Levis aggravated a throwing shoulder injury he originally suffered in Week 4, which ultimately caused him to miss three games.

Hines-Allen finished the game with two tackles to go along with his sack and forced fumble. Levis finished the contest completing 19 of 32 passes for 168 yards.

The sack marked the 52nd of Hines-Allen’s NFL career, 3.5 shy of Jacksonville’s franchise record of 55 set by Tony Brackens in 2003.

Hines-Allen, who signed a five-year, $141.3 million contract extension with the Jaguars in April, has totaled 286 tackles (61 for a loss) and 52 sacks, two interceptions, 10 passes defensed and 10 forced fumbles recorded.
