The original Lord of the Rings animated films are finding a new streaming home

The Hobbit was published in 1977, with Lord of the rings will be released in cinemas the following year. Unless you grew up watching these adaptations on television in the ’70s, you probably know very little about the animated adaptations. Many newer fans don’t even know they exist. Lord of the rings is a stilted, uninspired adaptation of Tolkien’s work. Usually, adaptations make audiences want to read the book because the movie was so good. In the case of Lord of the ringsyou will want to read the book to understand why the books are so much better.
