The Rams clinch the NFC West title thanks to winning the tiebreaker over the Seahawks

The Los Angeles Rams celebrated a win on Saturday.

A playoff celebration followed on Sunday.

The Rams, who defeated the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night, secured the NFC West title thanks to a win tiebreaker over the Seattle Seahawks. LA secured this tiebreaker on Sunday with wins over the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings and Washington Commanders. The Commanders’ victory on Sunday night, in which Washington secured a spot in the playoffs, was the official deciding factor in the Rams’ entry into the postseason.

With the win over the Cards, the Rams improved to 10-6 on the season. The Seahawks (9-7), who beat the Chicago Bears on Thursday, can keep pace with LA in the overall record with a win over the Rams next week, but that win would only split the season series, leading to tiebreakers.

Los Angeles is now in the playoffs for the sixth time in eight seasons under Sean McVay and has won its first division title since the 2021 season, when it won the Super Bowl.

The Rams are in good shape right now, having won five straight, clinching a playoff spot on their off day and are 9-2 since their bye.
