The San Francisco Giants are reportedly looking to trade superstar outfielder Kyle Tucker

The San Francisco Giants made a splash when they signed star shortstop Willy Adames to a deal that now gives the team one of the best left infield tandems in baseball alongside Matt Chapman.

It was a huge move for first-year manager Buster Posey, but with the NL West busy and the National League on the rise, the Giants may need to do more to become contenders.

This is where Kyle Tucker could come into play.

The Houston Astros are listening to trade offers for everyone on their roster from their own general manager Dana Brown, and with the right fielder still under contract for one season, teams across the league are evaluating what it would take to sign him.

According to Joel Sherman, San Francisco is reportedly one of those teams The New York Post.

“However, the Yankees may not be the most determined pursuer of Tucker as the Winter Meetings neared an end. The Cubs are considered a strong player at left wing and the Giants are also involved in talks with the Astros. The Phillies.” “He was also one of the teams that at least inquired and tried to find a package that would work with the Astros,” the insider reports.

It certainly won’t be easy to get Tucker.

They will expect a strong trade package in return considering Tucker is an MVP-caliber player who is at the peak of his career.

“The Astros are prioritizing major league-ready corner infielders and starting pitching if they move Tucker,” Sherman added.

If the Giants want to get anything done on this front, they will have to act quickly.

Ken Rosenthal and Chandler Rome by The athletic one The Chicago Cubs and Astros are reportedly discussing the terms of a deal that would bring in Houston third baseman Isaac Paredes, outfielder Seiya Suzuki and likely some prospects.

The names could change depending on how these talks progress, but this is the type of package that will likely be needed to land Tucker.

San Francisco knows this.

Adding the star slugger to an outfield that already features Heliot Ramos and Jung Hoo Lee would certainly be an improvement over anything they’ve had for several years, but how aggressive Posey is willing to be remains to be seen.
