The Rockets scored by smashing the offensive glass for six offensive rebounds, and they also scored 10 points off six Minnesota turnovers.

Thanks to their second unit with DiVincenzo, Naz Reid, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Josh Minott and Randle, the Wolves got on track offensively in the second quarter. DiVincenzo had 16 points in the first half and the Wolves led by 10 points. The Rockets had 20 points and nine rebounds left from Sengun.

The Wolves’ starting unit lost that lead in the opening minutes of the third period as the Rockets outscored the Wolves 32-19. Fred VanVleet had nine hits in the third while Edwards went cold (0-4).

Alexander-Walker was questionable due to an illness after being placed on the injury report Friday morning. But Alexander-Walker was still able to play. He finished with 11 points in 29 minutes.

Friday marked the final game for longtime Houston Chronicle Rockets champion Jonathan Feigen, who coached the team for 27 years. Feigen, one of the league’s most respected beat writers, is retiring to spend more time traveling with his wife and grandchildren. Wolves coach Chris Finch was an assistant in Houston and took time to congratulate Feigen during his pregame press conference.

“It was a pleasure meeting you while I was here,” Finch said. “In an industry that’s constantly changing, you’ve always been the same.”
