The Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will miss the Rockets’ game

The Golden State Warriors have ruled out stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green for Thursday’s game against the Houston Rockets.

Curry will be sidelined for the second time in four games for what the team is calling “bilateral knee injury management.” He did not play in the home loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on November 27th due to pain in both knees.

Curry said he wasn’t worried about the injury but acknowledged it could potentially become a “nagging” issue. He said that he and the Warriors were trying to stay ahead of the issue, but that he wasn’t sure if he would have to sit out future games to keep the problem going.

Green will miss his second straight game with left calf strain. Coach Steve Kerr said Green is scheduled for an MRI scan on Wednesday. On his radio show on 95.7 The Game, Kerr said more would be known about the MRI on Thursday.

“He’s doing well,” Kerr said of Green. “But all in all I spoke to him yesterday and he said he felt pretty good. My gut feeling is that it won’t be a problem in the long run. But we have to wait and see what our coaching team says tomorrow.”

Kerr has said the Warriors will monitor Curry and Green’s minutes and games as they try to keep their veterans fresh.
