“The White Lotus” Season 3 gets a hot first trailer full of depravity and an all-star cast

HBO has just released the first trailer for the highly anticipated third season of The White Lotus, Mike White’s brilliant anthology series and one of my personal favorite television shows.

The star-studded trailer introduces us to the cast of wealthy tourists and the staff of the titular hotel’s Thai location. Check this out before we continue:

The White Lotus took us to Hawaii (season 1) and Italy (season 2) and is now heading east. The show is part dark comedy, part character drama and part mystery. Each season begins with one or more murders, but you don’t know any details, including who the victim(s) or murderer(s) might be.

Season 3 features an entirely new cast, although one character from Season 1 returns, similar to how a character from Season 1 took on a much larger role in Season 2. The ensemble cast includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins and Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, Aimee Lou Wood. Other cast members include Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Dom Hetrakul, Julian Kostov, Charlotte Le Bon, Morgana O’Reilly and Shalini Peiris.

I’m particularly excited to see Walton Goggins and Jason Isaacs in this as they both seem perfect for it The White Lotus. I’m also happy to see Michelle Monaghan, who recently starred in the excellent Apple TV series. evil monkey, and which many will know from the excellent first season of True detective.

The White Lotus was a critical darling, nominated for 43 Emmys in its first two seasons and taking home 15, including a Best Supporting Actress award for Jennifer Coolidge in 2023. The first season also won Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series. The second season was nominated for the drama category and lost to the also phenomenal season Consequence (Nothing really stood a chance against this show in 2023).

Season 3 premieres February 16th on HBO and Max.
