There will be delays on the third day of the Pakistan vs South Africa Centurion Test due to weather at the Supersport Park Stadium

The first Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and South Africa at Centurion is uncertain due to adverse weather conditions.

Play was scheduled for today, but was delayed by overnight rain, meaning the ground was wet but not unplayable. The live action is expected to begin shortly.

According to AccuWeather, the forecast remains worrisome, with a 90% chance of precipitation and a 54% chance of thunderstorms later in the day.

Cloudy skies and wind gusts of up to 28 km/h are expected to make conditions challenging for both teams. The expected rainfall of 2.9 mm could disrupt the process, with rainfall expected to last up to two hours.

Despite the weather concerns, the morning session is important for both sides.

Pakistan, trailing by two runs, will resume their second innings with Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel at the crease and Mohammad Rizwan yet to bat. The task is moderately difficult in setting a challenging goal for the hosts.

The pitch conditions, which still offer bounce, swing and spin opportunities, promise to keep the bowlers in the game.

For South Africa, quick wickets in the first session could cement their upper hand in the game.

However, the weather remains an important factor. The day is expected to remain mostly cloudy, with occasional showers and thunderstorms potentially disrupting play
