This Louisiana Christmas parade made USA Today’s list of the 10 Best Christmas Parades

USA Today is currently releasing the results of its 10 Best Reader’s Choice contests for all things travel, food and drink, arts and culture, and other miscellaneous topics.

As for this time of year, the results of USA Today’s 10 Best Holiday Hotels are in, and one of Louisiana’s Christmas parades has made the top 10.

The Louisiana holiday parade was named the fifth best holiday parade by USA Today

The Children’s Hospital New Orleans Christmas Parade is ranked No. 5 on USA Today’s 10Best Christmas Parades list.

This year, the third annual Children’s Hospital New Orleans Christmas Parade will take place on December 7th at 11 a.m

In addition to being a fun event, the parade furthers the fundamental mission of Children’s Hospital New Orleans.

The parade made its debut in 2022 and has since become a beloved holiday tradition in the Crescent City. Thousands of participants line the streets of downtown New Orleans.

This parade, which will be broadcast on local and national television, will feature 30 floats, soaring balloons and over a dozen dance groups and marching bands.

New Orleans Children’s Hospital Christmas Parade route

The parade begins at the French Market in the French Quarter and continues a long route through downtown. From the corner of Esplanade and North Peters Street, the parade travels down North Peters to Decatur Street and then to Jackson Square and Oscar Dunn Park.

From here, the parade continues down Decatur Street to North Peters, where the parade continues until it turns right onto Canal Street. After a U-turn at Burgundy Street, the parade heads back through downtown to Tchoupitoulas Street and then ends at St. Joseph Street.
