“This wasn’t an attempt to get him banned” – Magician Max Major denies lying to Kai Cenat about the Mafiaathon 2 “hanging prank”.

Magician and mentalist Max Major recently appeared on Mafiaathon 2, hosted by Twitch streamer Kai Cenat. The stunt he pulled did not go down well with the viewers who criticized him heavily. Despite an educational video, netizens urged him to respect the streamer.

You thought the game was for me to influence you to make the right choice, but my plan all along was to influence you to make the right choice (wrong choice) and I knew you would choose the wrong grip would.

Max Major clarifies the prank he committed on Kai Cenat’s Twitch live stream

Major was widely criticized by netizens for pulling off such a dangerous stunt. He claimed via X (formerly Twitter) that Cenat’s team knew about the stunt. He wrote:

“I did not lie to Kai’s team about the stunt I wanted to perform in Mafiaathon 2, and this was not an attempt to get him banned.”

“The stunt was coordinated with his team and cleared with Twitch. Before I even prepared for this, the first thing I did was make sure it wouldn’t put his channel at risk or risk a ban,” Major added.

He also added that Cenat’s team was aware of the nature of the stunt. Major also wrote:

“To be clear, this wasn’t something I decided to do at the last minute – it took weeks of careful planning and training.”

“Twitch was aware of the stunt and after seeing it carried out by higher-ups, simply asked us to put ‘Professional stunt, don’t try’ on screen.”

Major then shared screenshots of his alleged chat with Cenat’s team.

Despite the clarification, netizens shared their disappointment and wondered why it took him two to three weeks to make this statement.
