Nasdaq will be open during normal trading hours – 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST, with pre-market and after-market trading sessions – on Tuesday, December 31 and will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. according to its website.

When does the US bond market close on Christmas Eve?

According to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, the U.S. bond market will close at 2:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, December 31 and will remain closed on New Year’s Day.

When does over-the-counter trading close on New Year’s Eve?

Over-the-counter trading, which occurs without an exchange, ends at 2:00 p.m. EST on New Year’s Eve and remains closed on New Year’s Day.

- Thursday, December 26th: Closed for Boxing Day
- Tuesday, December 31st: Markets begin closing at 12:30 p.m. London time or 7:30 a.m. EST
- Wednesday, January 1st: Closed on New Year’s Day
EuroNext Paris:
- Tuesday, December 31st:
  - All stock, single stock dividend futures and index options closed at 1:55 p.m. CET and 7:55 a.m. EST, respectively
  - All index futures and commodity derivatives closed at 2:00 p.m. CET and 8:00 a.m. EST, respectively
  - All single stock futures closed at 2:05 p.m. CET or 8:05 a.m. EST

Hong Kong Stock Exchange:
- Thursday, December 26th: The Hong Kong Market is closed on the first weekday after Christmas
- Tuesday. Dec 31: Open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Hong Kong time or UTC+08:00 or 11:00 p.m. EST on December 30th.
- Wednesday, January 1st: Closed on New Year’s Day
Shanghai Stock Exchange:
- Wednesday, January 1st: Closed on New Year’s Day
Tokyo Stock Exchange remains closed on Tuesday. December 31st and Wednesday January 1st.
