ForbesNYT “Connections” Tips and Answers for November 29th (#537)

Hello! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I can’t really believe November is already over. How did that happen?

I’m starting to think about my plans for next year. I’m hoping to take a small step back from work to free up some time for a project I’ve had on my mind for a while (don’t worry, this column won’t go anywhere!). I need to look at my budget to see if it’s feasible. But if so, it could be personally satisfying and help some people at the same time.

I’m also thinking about starting streaming on YouTube when I play certain games, partly to keep myself accountable while I try to work through my backlog and partly to make sure I’m checking out new titles on a regular basis . A stricter schedule might be good for me.

Anyway, today’s NYT Connections Hints and answers for Saturday November 30th will follow soon.

How to play connections

Connections is a free, popular one New York Times daily pun. You will receive a new puzzle every day at midnight. You can play on that NYT Website or gaming app.

You will be presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to divide them into four groups of four by finding out the connections between them. The groups can be items you can click on, names of research participants, or words preceded by a body part.

Each puzzle has only one solution, and you have to be careful when it comes to words that could fit into more than one category. You can mix up the words to perhaps better see the connections between them.

Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to understand, blue and green are in the middle, and the purple group is usually the most difficult. The purple group often contains puns.

Select four words that you think go together and click Send. If you guess and are wrong, you lose a life. When you’re close to finding the right group, you may see a message saying you’re one word away from the right group, but you still need to figure out which word to swap.

If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let’s make sure that this doesn’t happen with the help of some tips, and if you really find it difficult, even with today’s ones Connections Answer. Like with Wordle and other similar games, it’s easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats.

If you have one NYT You can access the publications with the All Access or Games subscription Connections Archive. This includes every previous game from Connectionsso you can go back and play any songs you missed.

Aside from the first 60 or so games, you should be able to find my clues for each grid via Google if you need to! Simply click here and enter the date of the game for which you need hints or answers to the search query.

This is your final warning!

Today Connections Answers are…

  • Yellow group – dance styles (JAZZ, MODERN, SWING, TAP)
  • Green group – steal (LIFT, PALM, POCKET, SWIPE)
  • Blue group – good performance in (ACE, CRUSH, NAIL, ROCK)
  • Purple group – ____ball fields (CURVE, FAST, KNUCKLE, SCREW)

Not a perfect game today, but I got the three. This is what happened to me:

🟦🟨🟩🟪

🟪🟪🟪🟪

🟦🟦🟦🟦

🟩🟩🟩🟩

🟨🟨🟨🟨

Without a careless error at the beginning, I would have had what I call a “truly perfect” game for only the second time ever. A truly perfect game means that you get the purple, blue, green and yellow groups in that order without losing a life.

I played a number of back and forth moves with ROCK, SWING, SWIPE and CURVE, but no dice. I wasn’t close to any group. But I was able to get the purples after SCREW and FAST worked together in my head. Two baseball groups on two days seems excessive, but safe.

I had the blues in my head for a few minutes, but it took me a while to realize that ROCK was the fourth word. TAP and SWIPE could have been the basis of a diversionary tactic as they both involve smartphone actions. However, I came to the conclusion that SWIPE should fit the greens. This left the Yellows with a slightly frustrating victory.

PS After catching up Abbott Elementary School Recently it was time to try out a new show. I chose one that I’ve been wanting to watch for a while. Friends, I am very happy with this decision.

I have loved the film for a long time What we do in the shadows and the spin-off series had been on my radar for years. I’m about a season and a half into it now and it’s extremely funny. The film’s biting humor remains, but the mockumentary focuses on a group of vampires on Staten Island rather than a group in New Zealand. The main cast all gave great performances and the inclusion of an energy vampire is pretty brilliant.

It’s laugh-out-loud stuff (there’s a joke in the trailer below that made me laugh) and a little scary at times. I just saw the Jackie Daytona episode which was absolutely fantastic. I’m looking forward to watching a few more episodes this weekend:
