Tom Brady crowns Lamar Jackson again, proving he’s in a class of his own

Lamar Jackson’s Week 15 performance not only added another win to the Baltimore Ravens’ record, but also reinvigorated his MVP campaign. After defeating the New York Giants by five touchdowns in a 35-14 victory, Jackson earned a spot in Tom Brady’s “3 Stars of the Week” for the fourth time this season. That’s twice as many appearances as MVP front-runner Josh Allen, and it’s clear Jackson has the GOAT’s attention.

Jackson’s performance was electrifying. He completed 21 of 25 passes for 290 yards and added 65 rushing yards, had more touchdowns (5) than incompletions (4) and finished with a near-perfect passer rating of 154.6. Brady, who will call the Ravens’ game against the Steelers this Saturday, couldn’t hold back his praise.

“For the fourth time this year, Lamar Jackson is one of my Stars of the Week,” Brady said. “He paced the Giants defense all day with 290 yards and 5 touchdowns. He had more TD passes than incompletions in the game. This is ridiculous. Incredible stuff, Lamar. I can’t wait to watch your game against a strong Steelers defense this Saturday on FOX.”

Despite Jackson’s continued excellence, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky heated up the MVP debate with a shocking statement earlier this week, prematurely declaring Allen the MVP with three games remaining on the schedule. Orlovsky’s argument? Allen’s eye-catching recent performances.

But his perspective conveniently ignores all of Jackson’s body of work, Baltimore’s 35-10 head-to-head win over Buffalo in Week 4 and the final three games of the season.

Tom Brady’s support highlights Lamar Jackson’s MVP-worthy efficiency

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback’s performance in Week 15 was nothing short of deadly. Jackson posted a passer rating of 154.6, close to perfection, while distributing the ball to eight different targets. His five touchdowns meant he scored more points than incompletions (four). Let that sink in for a moment. Even against an injury-riddled Giants defense, this level of dominance is elite.

This latest masterclass has added even more fuel to Jackson’s MVP case. In 14 games, he has rushed for 3,580 yards, 34 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Add in his 743 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, and the numbers paint a clear picture: Lamar is not only Baltimore’s MVP, he’s also the league’s MVP.

Still, Jackson faces stiff competition, with Josh Allen being the media darling of late. But let’s be honest: When a quarterback is this efficient and dangerous both in the air and on the ground, the story should be obvious. Brady’s recognition only underscores what Ravens fans already know: Lamar Jackson is special.

The road ahead doesn’t get any easier as a massive showdown against the Steelers looms. Brady himself will be in the locker room for the game and all eyes will be on Jackson to see if he can replicate the magic. As his MVP campaign heats up, another big performance could tip the scales in his favor.

For now, the GOAT’s support is another reason for Ravens fans to feel good about their QB.
