Sandro Tonali stole the spotlight in Newcastle’s 3-1 win over Brentford in the EFL Cup quarter-finals when he scored twice within the first 45 minutes to pave the way for his side to qualify for the semi-finals.

Tonali scores Newcastle’s first brace in the EFL Cup game against Brentford

Fabian Schar added a third goal in the second half before Brentford’s late consolation goal, setting up a clash between Newcastle and Liverpool in the EFL Cup semi-finals.
