Toni Storm leads the pack of AEW stars, earning victories at the Worlds End Zero Hour pre-show

New talent and old favorites were on full display during the final Zero Hour of the year. During the preshow for Worlds End, the Orlando crowd watched as well-known rookie Toni Storm made her first AEW pay-per-view appearance, Jeff Jarrett defeated QT Marshall, and Lio Rush led his four-man team to victory against Top Flight and The led outrunner.

The evening began with Storm, a self-proclaimed AEW newcomer, meeting with Top Flight’s Leila Gray. Orlando was quick to chant a “she’s a rookie” chant as Storm and Gray locked off, but the crowd stood solidly behind Storm as she began to slowly overwhelm Gray. Before executing her signature hip attack, Storm nearly hit a timeless post, but threw up her rock-on hand signs in a semi-confused daze. Gray failed on Storm’s subsequent Northern Lights suplex attempt and nearly ruined the newcomer’s debut pay-per-view match with a middle rope blockbuster. Storm was only able to get the win via roll-up pin, but it appears she’ll get another opportunity to showcase her talent when Deonna Purazzo confronts her during a backstage interview on the April 1 episode of “AEW Collision.” .January challenged to a match.

Two men’s games concluded Zero Hour

Jarrett and Marshall entered the ring next and engaged in a battle of egos. The two men constantly threw taunts at each other between moments of classic wrestling. Things almost went off the rails for Marshall when Jarrett caught him with a sniper attack, but outside intervention courtesy of Aaron Solo resulted in Jarrett breaking the hold. Marshall took advantage of the distraction to take out Jarrett, nearly hitting the veteran with a guitar at ringside before Jay Lethal intervened. Jarrett was the one who brought the chaos under control and he secured the victory with The Stroke against Marshall. Following his match, Jarrett promised an update on his career on the upcoming episode of “AEW Dynamite: Fight For the Fallen.”

Zero Hour ended with a chaotic eight-person tag team match pitting Top Flight and The Outrunners against Rush, Action Andretti, Lance Archer and Brian Cage. The match hadn’t even started when Top Flight attempted to close in on their opponents, only to be held back by the Outrunners. While the match originally favored Top Flight and The Outrunners, Rush’s team singled out Dante Martin for some offense at the end of the match. Dante suffered a tornado DDT, two powerbombs and a frog splash before Rush pinned him for the win.
