TRACKING: Slick AM commute; more snow tomorrow | forecast

It could snow again tomorrow.

Some roads are partially covered in slush after light snowfall overnight. Take it a little slower and avoid using cruise control. Snowfall is easing and roads should improve as the morning progresses.

Today: Cloud cover should decrease throughout the day, with partly cloudy skies today. Temperatures will likely fall to the low to mid 20s this morning before rising back to the mid 20s to lower 30s this afternoon. We’ll have a brisk northwest breeze at 10 to 15 mph, putting wind temperatures in the teens.

TToight: We expect another clipper system to approach from the northwest this evening, meaning skies will become cloudy again and we have the chance of later snow showers to the north. Lows will fall into the upper teens and 20s in the middle of the night before beginning to rise before sunrise. Wind chills generally occur in the teens when the wind shifts to the southeast at 5 to 15 miles per hour.

Thursday: As the clipper system moves through, snow is likely, especially in areas along and north of Highway 20. Snow could be heavier during times of lower visibility. Accumulations here could range from 1 to 3 inches, with highs in the low to mid 30s. There is still a chance of snow or light winter south of Highway 20, but not as high. Total accumulations here will be no less than an inch, with highs in the mid to upper 30s. Winds will shift from south to northwest at speeds of 10 to 20 mph and may gust up to 30 mph.

MsToday: Colder air is moving in behind the system, with lows in the teens Thursday evening and highs in the mid to upper 20s Friday. Clouds should decrease with a northerly wind of 10 to 15 mph.

WeekEnd: Saturday is the first day of winter and it will feel colder, with highs in the 20s. There is a light southeasterly wind and the sky is partly cloudy. We’ll still have a few clouds until Sunday, but maximum temperatures will be near freezing again.
