What is the parade route for the 2024 Ocean City Christmas Parade?

The Ocean City Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 7th starting at 11 a.m. with an expanded route from Old Landing Road to 120th Street. To accommodate the event, the Public Works Department will begin implementing traffic changes at 7:45 a.m., with the full traffic pattern taking effect at 9:00 a.m

How will traffic patterns change for the Ocean Ciy Christmas Parade?

The following traffic changes will apply before and during the parade:

• The southbound lanes of Coastal Highway, from 100th Street to 125th Street, will be closed for the parade and spectator viewing.

• Northbound lanes will be reduced to allow for oncoming traffic.

Traffic disruptions are expected before, during and immediately after the parade.

The City of Ocean City urges visitors to stay safe at large events

After the parade, the fun continues on the carousel with an awards ceremony and family-friendly activities for all. The City of Ocean City has issued the following safety advisories for everyone participating in the fun:

• Walk Smart: Use marked crosswalks, obey traffic signals and stay on sidewalks.

• Bicycle Smart: Ride on designated bike paths, follow traffic signals and always ride in traffic.

• Drive Smart: Drive slower, stay alert and always drive sober.

The good news is that no rain is expected, but dress well if you go to the big Christmas parade in Ocean City today. Expect partly cloudy skies with a daytime high of 45 degrees and an Accuweather “real feel” of 37 degrees.
