Several traffic signals in Monterey and Marina were reported out of order. Monterey advises people to treat these traffic signals as stop signs. Trees were downed in Seaside. One on Coe Avenue, in front of the Boys and Girls Club and Fremont Boulevard at Hilby Avenue. In Monterey, the city reports that several power lines and trees were downed in the Casanova Oak Knoll and Deer Flats areas. As well as several trees along PVT Bolio Road and a tree down on the North Fremont bike median. A flood watch is in effect for the Carmel River Lagoon area from 4 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday. There is a risk of flooding in low-lying and flood-prone locations around the Carmel River Lagoon. Santa Cruz County The Boulder Creek Volunteer Fire Department said Highway 9 is closed at 16100 due to broken lines. The timing of the road’s reopening is unknown. Highway 9 at Buck Knoll Road is closed after three trees fell on power lines in the area. The expected reopening date is unknown.
