Trevon Diggs Injury Update: Dallas Cowboys vs. Giants Inactive Players Revealed

Although Trevon Diggs said he will try out against the New York Giants, but he will be inactive for Thursday’s game, the Dallas Cowboys announced. He was among seven players ruled out for the Thanksgiving matchup.

Diggs was limited in two of the Cowboys’ three practices this week and was questionable to play Thursday because of his groin injury. However, he will not be able to play against the undermanned Giants, who have to make do without a quarterback Tommy DeVito due to an injury. Drew Lock will start at quarterback.

Guard Zack Martin and tight end Jake Ferguson were already ruled out in the last injury report on Wednesday. Here is the complete list of inactives for the Cowboys vs. the Giants.

The Cowboys picked up a thrilling victory over the Washington Commanders a week ago, ending a five-game losing streak. It came down to the final seconds, but a missed extra point counted Austin Seibert sealed the victory in a game with many ups and downs.

Thursday’s game against the Giants offers the Cowboys another opportunity to maintain the momentum. New York published Daniel Jones last week, and DeVito is officially inactive for the matchup. That means Lock will start at quarterback.

After the Commanders game Mike McCarthy summed up what it meant to earn a division win. But despite the significance of the win, he said there was still a lot of work to be done to fully get back on track after the skid.

“If you need a definition of urgency, we’ve definitely found it here over the last month, and honestly I’m just grateful and really happy for the players – that they’re having a success that they’re working so hard for,” McCarthy said according to the team’s official website. “The fight was definitely there. … (But) we’re still pretty far down in the valley of adversity right now. We have taken a step in the right direction and therefore still have a lot of climbing to do.”
