Trump chooses Kimberly Guilfoyle and Tom Barrack as an ambassador in Greece and Turkey

The elected President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he would nominate the former Fox news person Kimberly Guilfoyle and his long-time billionaire friend Tom Barrack as ambassador in Greece or Turkey.

Trump made the announcements in two social media contributions.

“Tom successfully headed a global private equity company for three decades,” Trump wrote about Barrack on Truth. “He is a respected and experienced voice of reason for a broad spectrum of thought core in political and business circles.”

Barrack, who founded the private equity company Colony Capital and headed Trump’s inauguration committee in 2017, was acquitted of the indictment in 2022, while the Trump government acted as a non-registered foreign agent for the United Arab Emirates and then made incorrect information to the FBI have.

In a separate contribution in which he announced his choice of Guilfoyle as ambassador in Greece, Trump referred to Guilfoyle, who announced in 2022 that she was engaged to his son Donald Trump Jr.

“Kimberly is perfectly suitable to maintain strong bilateral relationships with Greece and to advance our interests in questions from defense cooperation to trade and economic innovation,” wrote Trump.

Both positions require confirmation by the Senate. Guilfoyle said on Tuesday that she was looking forward to receiving this support.

“As an ambassador, I look forward to implementing the Trump agenda, supporting our Greek allies and initiating a new era of peace and prosperity,” wrote Guilfoyle in a contribution to X.

Last month, Trump has appointed Charles Kushner, the father of his son -in -law Jared Kushner, as an ambassador in France in his new government.

He also appointed Massad Boulous, whose son is married to Trump’s younger daughter Tiffany Trump, as a senior consultant for Arabic and Middle Eastern affairs.
