President-elect Donald Trump visited the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday morning and rang the opening bell to begin trading.
His visit to the NYSE came on the same day that Time magazine named him “Person of the Year” for 2024. He was previously “Person of the Year” in 2016.

Before ringing the bell, Trump added his signature to the stock exchange’s Book of Distinguished Guests in “recognition of being named TIME’s 2024 Person of the Year,” according to an NYSE X post.

The trading floor was “full” for the occasion, another NYSE post said.
A video showed the president-elect clenching his fist after ringing the opening bell.
