The Miami Dolphins’ playoff hopes remained intact on Sunday.

Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins secured a hard-fought 29-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Hard Rock Stadium.

With just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter, the 49ers had a chance to potentially take the lead, but an interception by Brock Purdy and a 50-yard touchdown by De’Von Achane sealed the final result.

Achane finished the game with 190 all-purpose yards and a score on 23 touches.

Tagovailoa finished the game 22 of 34 for 215 yards and a touchdown.

The 26-year-old has now racked up 13 touchdown passes compared to just three interceptions in his last six starts.

Fans praised Tagovailoa and the Dolphins for their efforts in the contest.

Dime from Tua, but another Tyreek drop. Tough catch, but he had to make that play.
Tua is playing great today.

The #DolphinsA win means they stay alive in the AFC (and No. 6 seed) for at least another week.

The 49ers already were eliminated out of playoff contention before the opener, but they nearly eked out a win in the fourth quarter.

Purdy finished the game 26 of 40 yards for 313 yards and two touchdowns and one interception. He was also fired three times.

The Dolphins improved to 7-8 and must win their final two games of the regular season to stay in the AFC postseason.
