Twitter reacts: Chiefs defeat Chargers in Week 14 to clinch AFC West title

In Week 14, the Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Los Angeles Chargers in a primetime divisional showdown Football on Sunday evenings.

The Chargers did their best to avenge their loss to the Chiefs in Week 4, but Kansas City earned its 12th win of the season, giving the reigning Super Bowl champions its ninth straight AFC West title.

Los Angeles’ stellar defense held Patrick Mahomes to just 210 yards and one touchdown pass and would have thwarted the Chiefs’ offense on Kansas City’s final drive, which ended with an iconic doink-in field goal by backup kicker Matthew Wright , almost stopped.

In the end, the Chiefs won 19-17 and extended their lead in the race for the AFC’s No. 1 playoff spot.

Fans in Kansas City and across the country were quick to share their thoughts on the Chiefs’ recent win on Twitter after the final score of Sunday’s game was released.

The Kansas City Chiefs don’t even play their best ball and keep finding ways to win. Still, it feels different than Philadelphia last year because they have a core team of Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones who are all in sync. This team is dangerous.
