United Airlines is expecting an incredible 10 million passengers over the holidays

United Airlines expects record passenger traffic during the December festive period: more than 9.9 million – almost 10 million – people will fly with the airline between December 19 and January 6.

This staggering amount would be a 12% increase compared to the same period last holiday.

On average, nearly 520,000 people will fly United each day during the year-end holiday season (based on current bookings) – about 62,000 more people per day than last year.

· Friday, December 20th, Friday, December 27th And Saturday December 28th expected to be the busiest travel days with more than 540,000 people fly United every day.

· United will almost operate 4,500 flights per day and added an average of nearly 500 flights per day to accommodate this surge in demand.

· Top New Year’s Eve destinations outside of United’s hub cities include: Orlando, Las Vegas, Cancun, Fort Lauderdale and Honolulu.
