Central Electric continues restoration efforts
Significant progress has been made in efforts to restore power. Crews continue to work
Each district is restoring power as quickly and safely as possible. For many, damage occurs
Due to the storm, lines were damaged and around 35 poles were broken.
External assistance arrived this afternoon from the Alcorn Electric Power Association
Mississippi and C & L Electric Cooperative Corporation of Arkansas.
As of 5:30 p.m., the Central Electric Power Association has 533 members without power
Service. Outages by county are:
Leake – 27
Attala – 1
Neshoba – 4
Newton – 23
Rankin – 232
