Vegas Golden Knights vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction, Odds and Tips

Two Pacific Division powerhouses meet for the second time in a matinee affair in Edmonton on Saturday. The Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers are both on four-game winning streaks, one of which will come to an end. In an earlier meeting this season, the Golden Knights earned a 1-0 victory in a thrilling game that the Oilers probably deserved to win. These teams are very balanced across the board, with the Golden Knights having a slight advantage on special teams as they are much better at penalty killing than the Oilers. The difference between these teams lies in two players: Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Sure, the Golden Knights offer Jack Eichel to counterattack, but he’s no McDavid or Draisaitl. I believe the Golden Knights are the stronger team overall, but when McDavid and Draisaitl are at their best, there aren’t many who can stop them. They are playing very good ice hockey right now.

Stuart Skinner will start in goal for the Oilers and has been very good lately. He has a record of 4-1-0 in his last five games and has not allowed more than two goals in any game during that span. In the same five games, McDavid and Draisaitl combined for 19 points. This should be a very good and exciting game, but I will concentrate on the home team in this game. Give me the Oilers on the money line.

Oilers ML (-150) available at time of publication. Playable under this number.
