Santos’ 39-yard field goal made it 20-6 early in the fourth quarter. It came after Keenan Allen’s sensational 20-yard reception after a scrambling Williams on third-and-3 from the Vikings’ 36-yard drive. Allen reached out of bounds to catch the ball while keeping both feet inbounds.

The Vikings extended the lead to 27-6 after running back Cam Akers completed a 1-yard TD run with 10:14 remaining in the fourth period.

Defensive lineman Dominique Robinson rushed up the middle and blocked Ryan Wright’s punt, which bounced out of bounds at the Vikings’ 27.

The blocked punt set up Williams’ 16-yard TD strike to Allen on fourth-and-10 with 5:19 left in regulation, cutting the deficit to 27-12. After a Vikings penalty for the extra point, the Bears went for the two-point conversion from the 1st but failed in the attempt.

The Bears will be back in action on Sunday against the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field.

Swift rushed for 79 yards on 19 carries.
