Justin Jefferson is the fourth Vikings receiver to rush for at least 1,400 yards in a season, a feat achieved only by Hall of Famer Randy Moss. On Sunday against Green Bay, Jefferson gained 13 yards on two catches and added four more for 33 yards in the third quarter. He finished the game with eight catches for a game-high 92 yards, a feat that has occurred seven times in Vikings history.

Justin Jefferson rushes for 92 yards in win over Packers

Minnesota Vikings Wide receiver Justin Jefferson recorded his fifth straight game with seven receptions and 73 or more receiving yards in a 27-25 win over the Green Bay Packers. Despite being ruled out for the game, Jefferson scored his thirteenth game with at least 15 fantasy points thanks to a 37-yard catch-and-run play in the fourth quarter. This is his third straight season with at least 100 receptions and 1,400 receiving yards, putting him among the top wideouts NFL history. Jefferson hosts its division rival Detroit Lions in a Week 18 game.

Jefferson currently has 100 receptions and 1,479 yards this season. If he gains 21 yards next week, he will join Marvin Harrison, Andre Johnson, Julio Jones and Antonio Brown as the first players in NFL history with at least 100 receptions and 1,500 yards in a season for the fourth time.
“We’re relentless,” Jefferson told CBSSports.com after Sunday’s 27-25 win. “So many different things happen during the season and during games that can really determine whether we give up or not, whether we hang our heads. There are just countless times where we either outrun each other or we don’t. We lean on each other or feed off each other’s energy and excitement from those big plays. Having a defense like we do and just getting those turnovers (also) gives us that spark.”
Jefferson was appointed Pro Bowl and the All-Pro team in his first three seasons and has amassed the most receiving yards in a player’s first five seasons in NFL history. In 2022, at age 23, he became the youngest player to lead the league in receptions (128) and receiving yards (1,809) and received Offensive Player of the Year honors.

The Vikings have been a complete team all season in 2024, with Aaron Jones taking a backseat and wideouts Jordan Addison and Jalen Nailor adding points to the field. Even when Brian Flores’ defense gives in, it almost never breaks on Sunday, leaving a season-best 31 NFL finishes. This really shows how versatile this team can be.
