Virat Kohli reacts to R Ashwin’s resignation: ‘When you told me, it touched me emotionally’

Former captain Virat Kohli said R Ashwin touched him emotionally when he told him about his decision to retire. In a heartwarming post on social media, Kohli paid tribute to India’s most successful off-spinner and wished him all the best for his career after retirement.

Highlighting R Ashwin’s match-winning contributions in Test cricket, Virat Kohli said the off-spinner “will be remembered as a legend of Indian cricket”.

“I played with you for 14 years and when you told me today that you were retiring it touched me a little and I have memories of all the years I played together.
