This comes after Dave Clawson recently resigned as head football coach at Wake Forest University. Clawson led Wake Forest to seven straight bowl games as head coach. His tenure at Wake Forest lasted 11 years. Dickert was named head coach of Washington State University in 2021. Dickert was hired at WSU after spending three seasons at the University of Wyoming.
