Walmart sparks controversy over Sinwar shirts – Israel News

American retail giant Walmart sparked controversy on Tuesday after T-shirts praising former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar appeared to be available on its online store.

“@Walmart, are you aware that you sell clothing that celebrates terrorism and violence against Jews?” StopAntisemtisim, a nonprofit watchdog organization dedicated to uncovering and combating anti-Semitism, addressed the incident in a post on X.

“This is outrageous – remove them immediately,” the post reads.

Nasrallah shirts still appear to be available online

The Sinwar shirts appear to have now been removed; However, tops bearing the image of former Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah appear to still be available online.

Sinwar was killed by IDF forces in the Gaza Strip in October, while Nasrallah was eliminated in an Israeli Air Force strike in Beirut in September.

The seller of the T-shirts at Walmart also has a T-shirt with a swastika on an American flag and the words “I don’t kneel” for sale on the online site.

The Jerusalem Post has reached out to Walmart for comment.
