Watch Michael Bublé’s Grand Ole Opry debut as he and Carly Pearce deck the halls

Michael Bublé has staked his claim as the undisputed King of Christmas. The Canadian jazz-pop crooner released his first full-length record of Christmas songs in 2011. Appropriate title Christmas, it became one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century. (Regular albums, not just holiday-themed ones.) Admittedly, Bublé prefers to occupy the Christmas throne alone and typically shies away from collaborating with other artists. Luckily, he was willing to break that rule for country singer Carly Pearce, who recently joined him on “Maybe This Christmas.” And the “Every Little Thing” hitmaker was by Bublé’s side once again on Sunday (December 15) for his Grand Ole Opry debut, where the pair once again performed his latest hit.

Carly Pearce came over last week The voice Finale with “Maybe This Christmas” with Michael Bublé. On Friday (December 15), the couple repeated the performance during the Opry Country Christmas show — which marked the “Feeling Good” singer’s first time on that hallowed stage.

The duo was part of a lineup that also included CMA’s 2024 New Artist of the Year, Megan Moroney. In addition to The Ornaments, the Southern gospel band The Isaacs also performed.

Pearce and Bublé announced the gig in a joint social media post last Tuesday (December 10). “Oh my God, I’m so nervous,” Bublé, 49, admitted.

He continued: “I can’t wait. Listen, this is like a dream come true for me. And do it with you? Man, it couldn’t be more special.”

“Fate played a part in the creation of “Maybe This Christmas””

After previously touting “a Christmas song for people who might not love Christmas,” Michael Bublé and Carly Pearce took to social media in November to announce “Maybe This Christmas.”

“This collaboration worked so smoothly that it feels like fate had a hand in it,” the five-time Grammy winner wrote. “We are so proud of this song! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”

Judging by the comments, it doesn’t look like they have anything to worry about. “Since I was a little girl, Michael’s singing and music have been such a safe place for me, I’ve admired this man for so long,” one Instagram user wrote. “He and Carly sound incredible together.”
