It’s not actually cloud cover moving in, but that’s actually how the satellites see the cold air coming in. Let’s come over with our current temperatures. WE WILL SEE. Nowadays everyone is in their 50s. 53 TO HAMMOND, 56 TO THE SEA FRONT WITH THESE REAL-TIME TEMPERATURES 53 BOGALUSA. So it’s pretty even with the colder air that trickled in. Here’s a look at the wind gusts today, reaching up to 43 at Lakeshore, 25 Bogalusa, 30 Galliano and 33 at Belle. The Chase wind is currently blowing for an average of a few minutes. So there will be just about a few chances of rain over the next few days, or at least over the weekend. BUT WE DON’T SEE A LOT HERE IN THE NEXT 7 TO 10. WHAT WE START TOMORROW MORNING IS COLD TO COOL LIKE 29 BOGALUSA TO 30 TO HAMMOND 31. SO NORTH COAST BRIGHT FREEZING. WE EVEN HAVE SOME FREEZING POTENTIAL. SOUTH BANK OUTSIDE THE CITY. I have BELLE CHASSE to HOUMA to THIBODAUX to GALLIANO at 35, 36 and 37 for you tomorrow morning. Get the kids out. TOMORROW MORNING THE HEAVIER COATS, BABY GLOVES AND EVERYTHING WILL BE IN PLACE TO KEEP YOU WARM WITH CLEAR SKIES AND THE RISING SUN UNDER BEAUTIFUL BLUE SKIES. CLOUD CAST TOMORROW. DO YOU SEE THE ROLLER COASTER NOW? We’re starting to go uphill again here at 37 BOGALUSA SLIDELL 48, to GALLIANO, 46 HERE IN THE CITY, CLOUDS WEAR UNTIL FRIDAY. A FEW MORE CLOUDS. It wouldn’t surprise me if maybe one or two of these only provided a quick spritz. And it’s a crumble at best. High temperatures at this time will be 63, 64, 65 to 66 through Saturday. At this point it could be even warmer than 70 degrees. And as always, I’m looking forward to the weekend. In fact, on Monday I’m already looking forward to Santa’s next weekend run on Saturday. THIS STARTS AT LUCY’S. THIS TIME IT’S GOING TO GALLIER HALL AND WE HAVE 71 TO 68 DEGREE TEMPERATURES HERE FOR THE FEW BLOCKS OF THE BIG RUN WHICH I KNOW THEY WILL DO, BUT WE DON’T HAVE A HIGH CHANCE OF RAIN. 30% CHANCE BUT LIGHTS ON THE LAKE AND THIS IS LIGHTED BY METEOROLOGIST RAYMOND RICHARD. TEMPERATURES INTO THE 60’S AT LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN. NOT BAD. There is a visual glimpse of this faint front beginning to approach. We’ll get a few showers here and there, but the chance of rain will just be very low. And none of these fronts really come through. So there’s not much of a cooldown over the seven days. WDSU. Stay warm from another cold day tomorrow before warmer days return this weekend, according to your New Orleans weather forecast. Clear skies and light winds will make for an even colder morning on Thursday. The North Coast should experience a slight freeze, while some locations outside of New Orleans could experience frost with temperatures reaching 35°C! We’ll find plenty of sunshine on Thursday, but it will still be cold, with highs only around 58°C in many places. Friday morning will still be cold, but not as cold as Thursday morning. A few clouds will move in on Friday and temperatures will rise to the high 60s. The chance of an isolated rain shower is lowest. Saturday will be even warmer, but the chance of rain will increase to about 30% and the chance of isolated showers will be at its highest. Temperatures will be warmest on Sunday and next Monday, but the chance of isolated showers remains low.A The weak front will weaken as it approaches the region, but temperatures will drop slightly next week. Thursday morning will be the coldest with this round of arctic air. Warmer weather sets in this weekend and there is a low chance of light rain.
