BUT THEN YOU HAVE TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE STRONGER WIND SO IT FEEL EVEN COLDER. CORE. By Thursday morning the cold will drop, and by Friday as the weekend begins we’ll be back to temperatures in the 60s to 70s. THE LATEST SHORT TERM FORECAST. THIS IS JUST THE LAST SHOWERS AND TOMORROW MORNING WE WILL HAVE NO SKY, 41 BOGALUSA, MAYBE ONLY 39, IN THE COLDEST PLACES AND 40 SOUTH COAST. BUT BE AWARE OF THESE 10 TO 20 WINDS FOR HIGHER GUSTS LIKE THIS. IN BOGALUSA IT WILL FEEL LIKE ALMOST FROZEN AND THE BORDER WITH MISSISSIPPI MAY ALSO FEEL LIKE THE MID TO UPPER 30S HERE IN THE CITY. After the rain has completely stopped, the wind will become stronger, making the air significantly colder on Wednesday

A strong cold front will put an end to the rain tonight and bring much colder air tomorrow, according to your weather forecast for New Orleans. With that in mind, it will feel more like it’s almost freezing in many places. Strong north-westerly winds will cause choppy conditions on local waterways, with gale warnings this evening and small craft advisories continuing throughout the day on Wednesday. Here’s what we’ll do There will be plenty of sun on Wednesday, but it will be cold with northwest winds 10 to 20 mph and highs only around 56/57. Thursday morning will be the coldest with this round of arctic air, with another light frost on the North Coast and possible frost outside of New Orleans along the South Coast. It will also be sunny on Thursday before some high clouds move in late afternoon. It will still be cold and high temperatures will continue to only be around 56/57. It will be sunny and a little warmer on Friday. A few showers are possible on Saturday. Then on Sunday we’ll be back in the 70s. Highs will remain around 72 degrees next week, skies will be mostly cloudy and there is a chance of isolated showers. Much colder air will arrive on Wednesday and Thursday before warming up again this weekend. Saturday appears to be the most likely round of showers at the moment, but the chance of rain will remain low into next week. Stay warm and have a great night! –Devon
