Weather: Two rounds of snow

Light snow is expected this evening, but then we’ll wait for the next chance of snow on Thursday

It’s a small film compared to the one we’re watching on Thursday. So two rounds of snow as we head into the next few days. THIS EVENING SOME AREAS WILL BE DRAWING OR HALF AN INCH, MAYBE AN INCH. It doesn’t look like it will last until tomorrow morning, but there could be a few slippery spots on any roads that aren’t treated. And then as we go into our Thursday, this is the system that could be more effective. As we head towards Thursday afternoon. POSSIBLY UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING WHEN ANOTHER ALBERTA CLIPPER MOVES IN FROM THE UPPER PLAINS. RADAR, AT THE MOMENT WE HAVE NO PROBLEMS FOR THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. Honestly, the evening commute should be perfectly fine. We still have a few hours until this system arrives here. Snow showers continue to occur in parts of Iowa and Minnesota. BUT THIS SYSTEM. A LOT OF DRY AIR BEFORE. WHILE WE’RE SEEING A FEW SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS WESTERN WISCONSIN AND EASTERN Iowa, ALL OF THESE ARE NOT REACHING THE GROUND DUE TO THE DRY AIR ON THE SURFACE. However, at some point the dry air will become saturated with these snowflakes and move here. By 9:10 p.m. we will see some of this snowfall making its way, especially south. AND CLOSE TO THE I-94 CORRIDOR. IF YOU LIVE IN THE NORTH, BEAVER DAM, FOND DU LAC, SHEBOYGAN, YOU MAY SEE SOME SNOW SHOWERS OR SOME FLOWER. I think the better opportunity for a light dusting of the accumulation will be our southern counties. And you can see this between midnight and 2 p.m. IT’S VERY FAST. It was supposed to get out of here around 4:00 p.m. So when we all wake up and head to work on Wednesday morning, some of us may have to brush off a light dusting of snow on the roof of our cars, but that would really be a significant amount CAUSING IMPACT ON THE ROADS, PROBABLY NOT TOO SEVERE. However, would it be a bad idea to add a few minutes more to your commute, especially for areas along and south of I-94 where we have a better opportunity to see some of that snowfall further up north? NOT AS MUCH. THEN, AS WE STAND INTO THE REST OF WEDNESDAY, HEAVEN SHOULD BE PERFORMED. THEN WE HAVE ANOTHER IMPACT DAY ON THURSDAY BECAUSE OF THE SECOND SYSTEM WE OBSERVE HERE. It looks like it will start sometime late morning. Certainly a few shovelable snowfalls, several inches. CERTAINLY NOT IN FRANCE AND WILL LIKELY AFFECT SEVERAL DRIVERS. Here’s what it is as we start tomorrow. As we move forward into tomorrow evening. NOT A BIG PROBLEM, BUT HERE COMES THE ALBERTA CLIPPER. AS WE GO INTO THURSDAY MORNING WE WILL HAVE A SNOW BEACH STARTING TO MOVE HERE. NOW FUTURECAST actually KEEP the storm a little further north. SOME OF THE TRACKS TAKE IT A LITTLE FURTHER SOUTH. IF WE SEE A SOUTHERN STRUCTURE THAT WOULD MEAN MORE SNOWFALL FOR US. A northerly track means some drier air moves in and we get a break with the snow before we see the envelope. AS WE COME INTO FRIDAY THURSDAY EVENING. IT’S SOMETHING TO WATCH. We’ll keep you updated with the latest information about Weather Watch 12 here. 33 FOR TOMORROW. 32 ON THURSDAY. BOTH DAYS AFFECT THE DAYS DUE TO THE CHANCE OF SNOW. AND THAT COULD LAST INTO FRIDAY. 31 WEEKEND. IT WILL BE COLD, BUT AT LEAST IT WILL BE DRY. If you want to do some Christmas shopping in the last few days before the holidays, come here next week. LOOKS LIKE WE COULD HAVE A SMALL CHANCE OF A WINTER M TOO

A weak clipper will bring some snow showers to the area this evening. It looks like the best opportunity for snowfall accumulation is along and south of I-94 with up to an inch of dust. North of I-94 there appears to be only one lane or severe weather expected. There will be another round of snow Thursday through Friday. This could increase the area by a few centimeters, although the trace of this low pressure will be crucial in determining who sees what.
