Nevada – Gusty winds will sweep through Southern Nevada and impact Las Vegas and surrounding areas Thursday through Friday. Drivers on I-15 should prepare for reduced visibility and sudden wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour. Higher elevations, including the Sierra Nevada, could see several centimeters of snow by Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will reach a high of 58 degrees in Las Vegas on Thursday, with winds expected to ease by late evening. Tonight temperatures will drop to a cool 36 degrees and southwest winds could remain gusty overnight before calming down Friday morning. The forecast for Friday is dominated by clear skies, with another high expected to reach around 58 degrees.

Looking ahead, the weekend promises sunny skies and temperatures climbing into the low 60s by Sunday. The nights remain cool and are around 39 degrees. Mountain travelers should watch out for icy conditions due to snow showers forecast for Thursday and Friday. Visibility can also be limited on mountain roads.

For those planning outdoor activities, the calmest conditions begin Friday afternoon and continue into the weekend, making for ideal weather for hiking or exploring Las Vegas’ outdoor attractions.
