Week 13 Prediction: Taysom Hill receiving yards over 26.5

Taysom hill Running for 138 yards last week is definitely not a repeatable statistic.

He did this on just seven carries, and prior to this outburst, he had between three and six rushing attempts in every single game, totaling between 14 and 35 rushing yards.

But in the receiving category, I think the market is too low based on his usage trend and his coaches’ comments.

After running 6, 6 and 3 routes before the injury, Hill ran between 16 and 18 routes in the last four games.

And in the last three games in particular, he’s provided solid yardage for the Saints’ passing attack:

  • Week 9: 41 yards on 4 catches
  • Week 10: 36 yards on 2 catches (an 88-yard TD catch was also nullified by a penalty)
  • Week 11: 50 yards on 8 catches

OK Klint Kubiak said, “When he’s at his healthiest, we definitely want to use him to the maximum,” and when asked if there were any reservations about using Hill too much given his past injuries, he replied, “No…Absolutely not.” “We’re ready for Taysom to make every play.”

Interim HC Darren Rizzi said: “I think our handling of him over the last few weeks is really what we want to work towards. We watched the tape and collectively felt like we needed to get this guy the ball and get him more involved.”

I expect him to hit the over with that receiving total of 26.5 yards.
