One thing to keep in mind when making starting/sitting decisions for the Week 13 quarterback; It will ALWAYS depend on what other options you have. Do not remove (or insert) the players listed below from your lineups unless the replacements are worth it.

ANTHONY RICHARDSON I V. NE I 14.7 FPPG I ECR QB11 | NERDS QB5 I 90% TRUST

Welcome back to the roller coaster of Anthony Richardson’s fantasy season. In his first two games off the bench, Richardson has scored 29.1 and 13.0 fantasy points, respectively. According to the Fantasy Points Data Suite, Richardson had his highest completion percentage in Week 11 at 66.7%. But his biggest advantage is his legs. Richardson has scored one TD in two games this season. And it’s no surprise that those two weeks were his biggest fantasy appearances of the season.

In Week 13, the Indianapolis Colts will face the New England Patriots. The Patriots have given up more than 18 fantasy points to QBs in three of their last four games. According to our data nerd Brad CusterAnthony Richardson has an extremely favorable matchup against the Patriots, according to (@moncalFF)’s Positional CheatChart. The Patriots are expected to allow 30% more fantasy points than Richardson’s average. Richardson is a player you can’t easily fit into your lineup every week. But in Week 13, you should add him to your lineup in all fantasy formats. He has the potential to be a top-10 QB against the Patriots.

MATTHEW STAFFORD | V. NO | 14.9 FPPG | ECR QB14 | NERDS QB15 I 65% TRUST

Matthew Stafford has been on an upswing lately, scoring 18+ fantasy points in 4 of his last 5 games, with 12 of his 15 passing touchdowns coming during that stretch of games (FPDS). The Los Angeles Rams are still leaning heavily on Stafford in 2024. Stafford has the fifth-most pass attempts in the NFL with 385. Can Stafford continue his recent fantasy success in Week 13?

New Orleans is known as a party city. This weekend, however, the Los Angeles Rams are there for one reason and one reason only: business. The New Orleans Saints are a neutral matchup this week where they are expected to give up just 1% more fantasy points than Stafford’s average (CheatChart). Stafford is projected to have a .36 EXP FP/DB, ranking 29th (FPDS). The Saints are also strong at running backs, so it could be more of a run-heavy offense this week. Given Stafford’s recent success, you may look to add him to your lineup – but not anytime soon. Yes, I start Stafford in Superflex leagues, but if possible, use him in 1QB leagues.

BRYCE YOUNG I V. TB I 9.1 FPPG I ECR QB27 | NERDS QB23 I 70% TRUST

Keep hitting! That’s exactly what the Carolina Panthers’ Bryce Young has been trying to accomplish since he was reinserted into the lineup in Week 8. For the season, Young has 134.5 PaYPG and 5 TD. All five of his passing TDs came in his second stint as starting QB. He’s not an elite QB, but he has certainly shown signs of improvement in recent weeks. Since Week 8, Young has a Completion Percentage Over Expected (CPOE) of +1.4%. While not elite, this is a huge improvement from his first stint as QB, where his CPOE was -12.2% – last in the NFL (FPDS). Since Week 8, Young has made three weekly appearances as a top-24 QB.

Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a divisional duel. Bryce Young has shown improvement recently. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the Buccaneers’ defense. The Buccaneers have had QB issues all season. They give up the third-most PaYPG (FPDS) in the NFL at 275.2. According to our CheatChart, Bryce Young will have a plus matchup in Week 13. The Buccaneers are expected to allow 34% more than Young’s average. According to The Dynasty Nerds GM Tool, he is projected to have 15.10 fantasy points. I expect Young to have to throw to keep the Panthers in the game, and if it gets out of hand we could end up with a lot of unnecessary throws for Young. He could have a top-20 performance in Week 13, and I recommend only using him in your Superflex lineups. Put him above the likes of Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers.

DRAKE MAYE I V. IND I 15.5 FPPG I ECR QB19 | NERDS QB12 I 75% TRUST

Drake Maye became the New England Patriots quarterback in Week 6 and posted back-to-back top-10 QB performances. Since then, it’s been a mixed bag of fantasy football results. So far in 2024, Maye has 182 PaYPG, 10 TDs, and 7 INTs. He ranks 2nd among NFL rookie QBs (FPDS) with a completion rate of 65.5%. At times this season he seemed to struggle, but he still showed promise as a future NFL QB. The Patriots may be lacking in offensive weapons, but Maye did his best, even if it didn’t show up in the win column.

The New England Patriots play the Indianapolis Colts this week. The Colts defense gives up 249 PaYPG (FPDS). The Colts are a slightly negative matchup for Maye, where they are projected to give up -6% less than his average (CheatChart). Maye is projected to score 18.3 fantasy points (GM Tool). This week’s performance (and the rest of the season) could do wonders for his overall fantasy value if he can produce a performance that matches the numbers. I’m comfortable with Maye as my superflex QB in Week 13.

RUSSELL WILSON I V. CIN I 16.2 FPPG I ECR QB21 | NERDS QB25 I 40% TRUST

Since becoming quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7, Russell Wilson has put together a plethora of fantastic performances. Wilson has 8.1 YPA, 8th in the NFL (FPDS), which is what the Steelers lacked before he became QB. One thing Wilson has had throughout his career is a strong arm. Wilson has the third-highest deep throw rate in the NFL at 17.4%. His ability to act like Harry Houdini on the football field has also been part of Wilson’s fantasy value so far this season. Wilson has the second-highest save percentage in the NFL at 7.4% (FPDS). In his 5 games played, Wilson has posted 2 top-10 performances and 4 top-4 performances.

In Week 13, the Pittsburgh Steelers face their division rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have given up five performances with more than 20 fantasy points to QBs this season. However, 4 of those 5 appearances were QBs in the top 5 in rushing yards per game at the QB position (FPDS). Yes, the Bengals are a favorable opponent for Wilson in Week 13. But with an over/under of 47.5, the Steelers will look to slow the pace of play and pursue a run-heavy game plan. The Steelers run the ball at a rate of 49%, third most in the NFL (FPDS). Wilson appears to have a good performance on paper, but I’m skeptical about what his results will be on Sunday.
