Wet Friday morning for Northern California, more so this weekend

Wet Friday morning for Northern California, more so this weekend

Northern California Forecast: Wet Friday morning, looking ahead to the weekend

This incident looked exactly the same. And also remember that some people live on their boats there in the Santa Cruz harbor. It’s definitely hard to watch, especially given all the damage that’s been done here. WIND AND WET. That’s what we’re focusing on to begin with. YOUR FRIDAY MORNING. As predicted, you can see the raindrops hitting the camera lens here under cloudy skies in downtown Sacramento, and occasionally the sky camera rocks around under the influence of the southerly wind. So expect a wet route for the morning commute. TEMPERATURES RANGE FROM THE LOW 50’S HERE IN THE VALLEY TO UP TO 42’F SOUTH OF LAKE TAHOE AS THE NUMBERS KEEP RISING ON THE SOUTH COAST. This also applies to the wind and the gusts of wind. WIND IS GUSTING AT SOUTH LAKE TAHOE AIRPORT AT 40 MILES PER HOUR, HERE IN YUBA CITY AND AROUND MARYSVILLE, WHERE A WIND WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED UNTIL 10:00 AM THIS MORNING. Winds are then expected to gradually decrease in areas such as the northern SACRAMENTO VALLEY. Here in SACRAMENTO the wind will be gusting up to 30 degrees, nearby in Stockton and Placecerville with gusts up to 20 degrees. This is a great picture to show you that the wind will begin to ease and subside starting around 9:00 this morning. As soon as we arrived in the middle of the afternoon, the winds started blowing. Yes, they will be around, but they won’t be as noticeable as, say, this morning or so gusty. The other thing that will subside throughout the day are the showers. NOW THE MOST OF THE RAIN IS MOVING TO THE EAST AND IS PARTICULARLY NOTICEABLE ALONG THE EXECUTERS. BUT STILL SOME GOOD, CONSISTENT RAINPAIN. FROM STOCKTON TOWARD RIVERBANK. WATERFORD MODESTO AREA THIS MORNING. SONORA is getting some nice, steady rain, and ARNOLD is seeing a few heavier showers at the moment. BUT NOTE THAT THE FUTURECAST IS HERE AT 8:00 TOMORROW. Most of these showers start to wind down and come to an end. While there could be a few areas of scattered showers here and there, a lot of the rain will really taper off as we pass around 9:00 this morning. Along with the easing winds. IT’S 1:00 AFTERNOON HERE. ONLY CLOUDY GRAY SKY AGAIN. ANOTHER DAY WHERE THE SUNSHINE IS PRETTY VERY LIMITED. THERE COULD BE A FEW BREAKS HERE AND THERE, BUT I EXPECT ANOTHER WAVE OF MOISTURE TO MOVE THROUGH THE AREAS THIS EVENING INTO EARLY MORNING, PARTICULARLY AFFECTING THE RUNS AND PARTS OF THE SIERRA. And the closer the weekend comes, the more restless days lie ahead. So Saturday, a few showers possible, but also a lot of dry spots on Saturday. SNOW OVER 8000 FEET. The snow depth will decrease throughout the day. SUNDAY, SUNDAY AND IMPACT DAY WITH CONSTANT RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS AND TIMES OF SNOW OVER 6000 FEET. Now if you look at the weekend in perspective in terms of precipitation amounts, this is that we’re going through Saturday again and we’re not expecting much precipitation in the valley on Saturday, but in the foothills we could see some better amounts, maybe a QUARTER CUSTOMS PLUS. And then this is what we see at the end of the day, on Sunday: The best precipitation north of Yuba City, through Redding and Lakeport, we could be around an inch, but areas like Sacramento, Stockton and the surrounding areas from Sonora Looking at the amounts between about a quarter, maybe up to half an inch on Sunday. IN ADDITION, WE WILL SEE A DRYING TENDENCY AT THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK AND THEN UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF 2025. So expect we will go through this active phase until the weekend and then it will dry out for a little while. That’s good news for New Year’s Eve plans. PLANS FOR THE NEW YEAR. YES. OK. DRY STREETS. YES. THANK YOU, TAMARA. IN ORDER. NOT SO MUCH DRY ROADS
