As 2024 comes to a close, Disneyland has plenty of new offerings that debuted this year or are coming soon! If you haven’t been to the Disneyland Resort recently, here are four things to look forward to:

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which also opens at Walt Disney World, opened at Disneyland on November 15. This ride replaces Splash Mountain and features the same ride layout with a new storyline, animatronics, music and theming. In addition to the exciting new attraction, there are two new gift shops: Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club, both of which offer New Orleans-themed merchandise, Tiana’s Bayou Adventures and the film “The Princess and the Frog.”

Although the attraction only recently opened, it is still new and will be a great experience for those planning to visit in 2025!

Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic Show

During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2024, Disney announced “Walt Disney – A Magical Life.” This show will alternate with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” at the Main Street Opera House. The show will feature the first-ever Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic and tell the story of his life’s journey, leading to a visit to his office.

This exciting new show is scheduled to open on May 16, 2025, alongside Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration.

The Haunted Mansion standby queue and gift shop

Exciting things are happening outside of the original Haunted Mansion. After a long break from January 2024, the manor house is finally inviting guests again. Last November, a new guest queue opened, expanding the waiting area while enriching the attraction’s history with new gardens.

Throughout the gardens are references to Master Gracey, Madame Leota the one-eyed cat, and even early conceptual ideas for the mansion, such as that the original owner was a sea captain. Statues, a fountain and plants create an immersive atmosphere and build anticipation for the upcoming attraction.

In addition, a new gift shop will soon open in front of the villa. “Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond” will continue to tell the story of the Haunted Mansion and sell attraction-specific spooky merchandise.

The original Disney theme park will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2025! To celebrate, Disney is introducing tons of new offerings, returning nostalgic classics, and of course introducing tons of new food and merchandise options!

The festivities begin on May 16th with the premiere of Walt Disney – A Magical Life, World of Color Happiness! Nighttime spectacles, decorations throughout the resort and much more.

These are just a few of the many new things to see and do at the Disneyland Resort!
