When Andrew Tate’s former sponsor exposed him for intentionally posting controversial videos

Controversial social media superstar Andrew Tate has been the talk of the internet for quite some time now. In fact, Tate is a former professional kickboxer who rose to worldwide popularity during the Corona crisis.

While his controversial views were often the talk of the internet, his former sponsor made an interesting claim. During an interview with Sporf, Daniel Knight, the founder of Sidekick Boxing and former sponsor of Tate, suggested that “Cobra” knows what he is doing.

Knight founded his martial arts equipment company back in 2010 and sponsored Tate in 2012. After working with Tate for years during his time as a kickboxer, the sidekickboxing founder suggested that the former kickboxer just wanted to be famous. He suggested that Tate’s online persona was a form of acting, saying:

“He knew what he was doing the whole time. He just wanted to be famous, he never wanted to work nine to five. He didn’t want an office job, he didn’t want to work under someone and I think he’s a lot smarter than people think he is.”

Additionally, Knight talked about Tate saying certain things just for engagement reasons. He said:

“He got under people’s skin with the things he did, he was just clever, and now everyone’s making these silly videos just to get engagement. But he was way ahead of it, he was the one who started it all in my opinion.”
