The No. 2 Texas Longhorns and No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs are in Atlanta for a rematch for the SEC Championship. This rematch follows the October game where Georgia emerged victorious in Austin by a score of 30-15.

However, it’s worth noting that the chances of Texas or Georgia being eliminated from the College Football Playoff are extremely slim. A win for Texas guarantees them a first-round bye. Conversely, a loss for Texas could see them end up at No. 5 or 6, where they would face a potentially lower seeded team in DKR. After that, there will be a bowl game quarterfinal if they win, a semifinal and then a trip straight back to Atlanta if they win. The situation is very uncertain for the committee.

Tomorrow is Selection Sunday and we should know then. Here’s a look at possible forecasts for Texas.

Who did the ESPN College GameDay team select?

Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler are ineligible for selection as they call the SEC Championship later this afternoon on ABC. Lee Corso was absent due to a minor procedure.

The picks for the SEC Championship:

Nick Saban: Texas

Desmond Howard: Texas

Pat MacAffe: Georgia

Timothée Chalamet (actor, guest selection): Texas

The Longhorns and Georgia kick off at 3 p.m. CT on ABC.
