Why was Olivia Ponton at Joe Burrow’s house during Monday night’s break-in?

Why was Olivia Ponton at Joe Burrow’s house during Monday night’s break-in?

Just a few weeks ago, the NFL released a memo to all of its players to increase security in the face of targeted break-ins in the league.

For Joe Burrow, quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals, this increased security measure also includes model Olivia Ponton, who was in the villa immediately after the break-in.

This latest bizarre story comes just weeks after Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s Kansas City homes were broken into.

While the investigation is ongoing, one question remains. What on earth was Ponton doing on a Monday evening in southern Ohio?

When Ponton, who has nearly 3 million followers on Instagram and another 7 million on TikTok, arrived at the newly burglarized home, she called her mother, Diane, who told authorities that her daughter was “wondering what to do if.” “she should do it.” hide or whether she should go outside.

After that call, Ponton called police and said, “Someone broke into my house…It’s a complete mess.”

Your house? And yes, when a house is broken into, things are usually in total disarray. That had to be quite a challenge to clear through dispatch.

According to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office report, Ponton was documented as an employee of Burrow. It was documented that Burrow was out of town (well, he was probably on TV dropping bombs on Ja’Marr Chase on ESPN), and Ponton listed a few items that “might” have been missing.

But that begs the question.

Why on earth would a model who lives in a million-dollar New York apartment be employed by an NFL quarterback? Was she a house sitter? If so, she didn’t do a good job, as she arrived and made the 911 call just minutes before Burrow’s Bengals kicked off against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

Ponton, 22, enjoyed a rapid rise to internet stardom during the pandemic, where she exploded on TikTok and lived in the infamous “Hype House” in Los Angeles with other top influencers, including Addison Rae and Josh Richards.

Not to spoil it, but it was assumed that Burrow was engaged to his long-time girlfriend and college sweetheart, Olivia Holzmacher. They haven’t posted on social media since January.

Maybe the 28-year-old Burrow will play on the field. Maybe he has a thing for girls named Olivia. That’s none of our business. But Ponton’s involvement in this already wild story of seemingly targeted break-ins at NFL properties wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card for 2024.
